Before we dive into what Breakthru Talks are and why we developed them, let’s first talk about traditional event content and how Future Proof is pioneering a new approach. Unlike other event organizers who build their program to either appease commercial partners or maximize CE credits, we focus solely on the attendee experience. Our aim is to provide the best way to consume content in an always-distracting world and ensure a solid Return on Attention (ROA) for participants.
This means moving away from traditional event norms and the constraints of CE credit-worthy sessions. If you’re looking to travel across the country to be a passive participant in a cold dark room where an overbuilt panel backslaps each other for 50 minutes and the only takeaway is 1 CE credit, then Future Proof events aren’t for you.
At Future Proof, we are passionate consumers of content ourselves. We understand that short-form sessions where experts can dive deep into a single topic benefit all participants. Our goal with on-stage content is to provide viewpoints and perspectives that make the audience think. We then create an event atmosphere that allows for speakers and attendees to discuss those topics off-stage.
The more active participation you have in live event content, the better. That’s why we are introducing the Breakthru Talks Program. With Breakthru Talks, we take active content participation to a whole new level.
What Is the Breakthru Talks Program?
Do you ever feel like traditional conference sessions don’t offer enough interaction or actionable insights? Breakthru Talks aims to change that.
Breakthru Talks are onsite, interactive roundtables that bring together 5-8 individuals from similar peer groups. These 50-minute discussions focus on key industry topics, allowing participants to share insights, address issues, and generate actionable takeaways. This small-group format ensures that every voice is heard and every interaction is meaningful.
Breakthru Talks are open to all Financial Advisory Firm & LP attendees, with specific sessions available based on registration tags, such as women-only groups. These discussions take place during breakfast on Monday and Tuesday, making them convenient and accessible for all participants.
How Do I Enroll in the Breakthru Talks Program?
The scheduling process for Breakthru Talks is streamlined and automated through our technology platform. Here’s how it works:
- Register & Complete a Profile: Sign up for the Future Proof Festival and fill out a brief profile before the pre-event deadline of August 16th.
- Select Your Topics: Choose the key industry topics you’re most interested in.
- Indicate Your Availability: Let us know if you’re available for one or both sessions.
Our algorithm will then schedule you into curated peer groups based on job levels and non-competitive criteria. All you have to do is confirm your participation and join the conversation.
